At the tender age of 13, I found myself walking into a tattoo studio with my uncle, and in that moment, I discovered a passion that would shape my future to become a tattoo artist. My creative journey began early, exploring various forms of art, from drawing and painting to sculpture in wood, clay, and metal, as well as creating fine jewellery. My unique style was always defined by its finesse and delicacy.

The Harsh Reality of Traditional Tattooing:

However, as I entered the world of tattooing at the age of 17, a harsh reality began to unfold. The fine designs I envisioned were marred by the inevitable spread and bleed of traditional tattoos over time. Despite my travels across the globe in search of a tattoo artist who could preserve the delicate nature of my designs, I found no success. Even traditional hand poke and Japanese styles couldn't capture the essence of my intricate creations.

A Personal Quest for Transformation:

Fuelled by the frustration of unmet expectations, I embarked on a personal quest for transformation. With a needle, ink, and a relentless determination to find a solution, I started tattooing my own body. My global odyssey took me to different corners of the earth, seeking the secrets that could enhance my results.

Unlocking the Secrets of the Skin:

In a serendipitous encounter during my six-month stay in India, I befriended a dermatologist who generously shared the secrets of the skin with me. This newfound knowledge became the catalyst for a deeper understanding of skin physiology, cellular dynamics, and the immune system. Armed with this knowledge, I set out to create my own technique—one that would deliver ink into the skin without breaking it, causing minimal pain, no blood, and, most importantly, preventing the spread and bleed associated with traditional tattooing.

The Birth of a Revolutionary Technique:

In 2005, alongside my beautiful wife, we opened Australia's first professional hand poke tattoo studio in the picturesque Byron Bay, NSW. Building on our success, in 2009, we established our second studio in the funky Fitzroy neighbourhood in Melbourne. For almost two decades, we have been pioneering a revolutionary approach to tattooing, providing hundreds of individuals from Australia and around the world with meticulously crafted, fine art tattoos—dot by dot.
